Cow on Tour makes it possible to tap your own milk from a cow around the corner. The cow has a milk machine on its back, driven by methane gasses from its own farts. By redefining the farm animal in society, Cow On Tour positions itself between animal welfare, food science and ethics.
Cow on Tour transforms cows, that move independently through urban green spaces, into self-sufficient milking machines, or "walking vending machines", as designers Anastasia Eggers and Ottonie von Roeder explained when they presented their idea. A smartphone app allows anyone to locate the cows, check their milk availability, collect milk, and check out. By redefining the farm animal in society, Cow On Tour positions itself between animal welfare, food science and ethics. With agricultural innovations, like the robotic milking machine, that uses the cow's methane gasses as fuel, the business model fuses agricultural innovations and decentralised fabrication.
